Strategy execution expert and author of the book: Business Results Revolution: Three Critical Questions and the Conversations that Transform Business Performance Every Day

I truly believe that every organization deserves to be the best that it can be. And I have a real passion for partnering with visionary executives and business leaders, and their teams, to make their vision of better organizational performance, and extraordinary business results achievement, a reality.

While I have been a senior organizational development and business performance excellence professional for over 20 years, my unique story really began in 1996, when I joined the Canada Life Assurance Company in Toronto, ON, Canada as a manager in the Group Insurance Operation. In 1997, when the VP of the Operation decided to adopt a new business management tool called the balanced scorecard, I was fortunate to be selected for the team tasked with developing and implementing the Group Life and Health (GLH) Balanced Scorecard. Because of my natural interest in achieving higher and higher levels of business performance and better business results, I was given responsibility for the ongoing management and continuous improvement of the Operation's strategic planning process and balanced scorecard.

Little did I know that this experience would change my life forever!

In 2001, leveraging my process and approach, experience, and knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, I founded a consulting firm designed to solve the strategy execution challenge that most executives and business leaders struggle with every day. My goal is to help them by quickly pinpointing their critical strategy execution gaps, creating a focused action plan for improvement, and then helping them plan and manage strategy in a way that: taps into the wisdom and knowledge of their people; translates strategy into action; and sets the organization up for real, sustainable business success.

As a consultant, I have worked with business leaders and their teams in a variety of business sectors and industries in both Canada and the United States* to build organizations where everyone is moving forward together in the same direction, making the right business decisions, and producing extraordinary business performance results every day.

I am a recognized subject matter expert in the areas of strategic planning, strategy mapping, performance measurement and management, accountability and governance framework development, and organizational alignment. I am a master balanced scorecard practitioner and trainer, and an expert facilitator. I have had the pleasure of acting as a Guest Instructor on strategy mapping and the balanced scorecard for the Master of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology Program at CBET at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.

I am a frequent conference speaker and regular blogger, commenting on the process and benefits of strategy execution excellence and building a strategy focused organization. I wrote my first book, The Practical Guide to Strategy Mapping: A Hands on Approach to Translating Strategy into Action, to give business leaders a resource that could really help them make a difference in the performance of their organization.
